Actually Enjoying Our Cars

We often get so wrapped up in prepping for shows, track days and cruises that we tend to forget about the most important element of this hobby; driving the cars regularly.  Andrew and I decided to take a day to enjoy driving our cars.  I met up with Andrew at our buddy Ned’s house.  When I arrived, the Mustang was just finishing its bath.  After chatting with Ned and his family about cars for a bit we took off to grab some lunch at Culvers.  We decided that we would use the nice weather and grab some photos of the cars.  We left after enjoying some delicious spicy chicken to the industrial park a few miles away.

We were able to find an empty industrial building with a nice open lot to grab some shots.

The sun just kissing the front wheel with the big Brembo caliper peaking out.

Hellcat looking into the sunet.  The flake in the OEM paint sets it off nicely.

Peep The Midwest Automotive sticker.

Something about all black cars that just does something for me.  The pop of red from the Brembo’s really sets it all off.

The Mickey Street S/S really give this thing the traction it needs on the street.

FALLEN 1,  a popular sight.

The amount of attention the cars get driving together still blows my mind.  One of my favorite things about owning the Hellcat is the amount of conversation it starts with other people.  Hearing people talk about the cars they own is my favorite part about the scene. Listening to the stories of the passion we all share makes it that much more enjoyable.  Take time to get to know people and enjoy your cars, don’t get too wrapped up in the semantics.
