Tuner Evolution – Chicago 2019

A few weeks back I got the special opportunity to shoot at Tuner Evolution. The media team reached out and asked if I would be interested in covering the event. I promptly jumped at the opportunity. This was the third year the show came to Chicago and it would be my third attendance. I was extremely excited to see some awesome builds this year. Tuner Evo is a show that has something for everyone. Even if you are not addicted to the automotive society, Tuner Evo has vendors, live music, dance competitions, and meet and greets!

This year I decided to drive down from Wisconsin with one of my friends Friday evening; the night before the show. He has a Fifth Gen Camaro on Airlift Performance suspension.

I was invited to join the show bright and early to catch some of the roll in before the cars and vendors were completely set up.

One of the first vehicles I saw after roll in was a Mid 70’s W116 450se on bags and some SSR mesh wheels.

One unique thing about TunerEvo Chicago is that it is an Indoor and an Outdoor show where spectators can walk between the two sections freely.

YouTube content creators TJ Hunt (and friends) as well as Dustin Williams made special appearances! It was definitely cool to see their builds come with them!

Some local break dancers showed up for a friendly competition during the show. Some spectators even decided to try their luck!

Vendor displays are starting to get unique and more stylish. Some displays even featured a wood floor or huge flags stating their presence.

Awards are a massive part of a Tuner Evo show. They want to show their appreciation for what we as car enthusiast do with our vehicles. They understand the time, money, and effort we sink into our livelihood.

At the end of the show everyone gets to participate in a “parade” of sorts! Most of the spectators stick around the check out the roll-out portion where owners leave the event.

Tuner Evo Chicago 2019 was an amazing event that I am sure to go back to in 2020. I’m looking forward to what the event coordinators can come up with to blow our minds!
